Who We Are

Jano Unnayan Foundation (JUF) is a beacon of hope in the heart of Bangladesh, dedicated to fostering positive change and uplifting the lives of the underprivileged. Established on September 2nd, 1994, by a group of visionary social workers and educators from Gala Union in the Tangail District, JUF stands as a non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization.

What We Do

Our unwavering commitment lies in addressing the multifaceted challenges faced by impoverished communities. JUF embarks on a diverse range of initiatives aimed at empowering and improving the lives of those in need. Our core activities include:

• Poverty Reduction: We tirelessly work towards alleviating poverty among rural communities, offering them a chance at a better life.
• Human Resource Development: Through targeted capacity-building training for our staff and stakeholders, we empower individuals to unlock their untapped potential.
• Youth Empowerment: Our vocational skills training and employment programs equip young minds with the skills they need to secure a brighter future.
• Environmental Stewardship: JUF is committed to preserving the environment by actively participating in tree plantation and contributing to water, sanitation, and hygiene promotion (WASH).
• Healthcare and Nutrition: We extend a caring hand to the underprivileged by providing healthcare, nutritional support, and essential services.
• Empowering Marginalized Groups: Our focus is on women, children, youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities, working to integrate them into mainstream society by creating income-generating opportunities through education and knowledge sharing.
